The room was cute and perfect for a stay on the beach. The proximity to Venice beach was unbeatable, as was the service I received from the staff. The potential for outside noise could be problematic for some. If you aren't into the alternation lifestyles of the kinds of people you'll find on Venice beach then you should stay somewhere else, but if you are looking for that vibrant and diversity this is the perfect place for you. ...read more

The hotel was ok, i guess you get what you pay for. No a/c so be prepared if you stay in the summer. Bring earplugs, because bums dig around for bottles and cans all night. Also it was kind of dirty for my standards. DO NOT go here if you are a family, there are bums and drugs everywhere. Maybe that is normal in this area, but it wasn't something I was used to. I would recommend this hotel for young people on a budget who like to party, but that's about it. That really seemed like what they were catering to anyway. I got exactly what I wanted, which was to feel like a beach dweller for a few days. Hotel opens directly onto the Venice Boardwalk in all it's strange and wonderful glory. The room was great looking, nice art prints, nice little kitchen, table and chairs and an easy chair. The bed was comfortable and I'm picky about that. The staff was extremely friendly! But this is an extremely unsafe area especially for females. We ran into a couple gang arguments, and the next morning someone was stabbed outside of our hotel.

The hotel itself was clean and very cozy. Kind of a scary location at night. Venice is definitely better in the day. The hotel did not have it's own parking, which was inconvenient and a little scary to be walking 2 blocks in the dark through the alleys. ...read more

Comes with basic items that you would find in your kitchen. Hotel provides boggy boards, surf boards, mats etc in your room they give you a bottle of wine. You walk out the front door and there was the beach and lots of shopping and restaurant. Santa Monica is a 10 minutes drive. ...read more
